Detroit and nagasaki

August 9th, 1945 three days after the bombing of Hiroshima my 19 year old great uncle Armand is inside one of the many P-51 fighters escorting “Fat Man” on the way to Nagasaki. After that bomb dropped he lived everyday of the rest of his life with extreme guilt he woke up every day for the rest of his life with a knot in his chest and he ultimately died in 2014 of a heart attack. Before he died he would tell me about the war many times in conversations and every one of them brought him to tears any time it came up.

After talking to him I realized in his head and in his heart he never had it in him to actually follow up on either Nagasaki or Hiroshima as they were rebuilt. He knew he had destroyed something on a scale the world had never seen before and that guilt kept him from realizing that those people had rebuilt in the 70 years since those events.

I showed him pictures of modern day Hiroshima and Nagasaki and I could feel the relief in him, he wasn’t 100%, but I felt a sense of calm that was previously missing.
I wanted to give him a complete perspective shift
so I showed him images of modern day: Detroit, Baltimore, Camden N.J. and several other Democratic majority cities like Houston and Atlanta and New Orleans and I explained to my great uncle that there are several ways in which you can absolutely devastate a city and the groups of people who live there, it was only then that he realized that you are literally better off getting nuked by Democrats than being run by them.

The Democratic party has specialized in making the inner cities of the America he knew into a third world nation and those fucking people don’t feel a single bit of guilt about it and they claim that they’re helping the poor some how.

Have you ever seen modern day Nagasaki? It is absolutely beautiful, capitalism rebuilt it now if only we could get that to happen in Detroit humanity would be better off for it.

Modern day Democrats have literally decimated inner city America and they have absolutely nobody to blame but themselves, which will never happen. They use high taxes, powerful unions, debt, socialism, welfare, bureaucracy just to name a few weapons of mass economic destruction to pulverize people for far longer than any nuke could ever last.

Of all the cities my great uncle was most shocked to see crumbling from the inside was Detroit. He was born in the same year as the Model A, 1927. Even though he was born and raised in the Bronx, at the time Detroit was America’s 8th largest city. For a long time Detroit was a bustling metropolis, until the democrats and their policies took hold. Let’s look at just a few of them shall we?

unions crippled the automobile industry: General motors, Ford and Chrysler could afford unions when they had a virtual monopoly on automobile production in the United States. However, once they started facing real competition from overseas post World War 2, the unions made them significantly less competitive.

Automobile unions forced companies to pay out significantly more than market value for their workers stifling innovation, and creating overly generous pension plans that quickly proved to be unsustainable. Sorry, but if your job is to attach a bumper on a car, but you do not create $105,000 a year worth of value for Chrysler. I’m sure you’re a great person, but anyone with a decent head on their shoulders had to have seen the future coming and it wasn’t going to be good.

Enormous payouts and pensions for all workers wouldn’t have been possible without a relationship between the unions and Democrats. Together they tied the hands of the Big 3 automakers and allowed the unions to slowly strangling them to death.

General motors, Ford and Chrysler had to deal with significantly higher costs per car than their competitors so they made up for it not through labor, but through their cars.

Quality of their products diminished, and their competitors took a larger market share thus leading to fewer jobs. The motor city is now a rusted out shell of its former self.

Detroit’s teacher’s union is one of the most powerful in the country. This could potentially be the best anti-union argument ever, their pay keeps increasing while performance decreases due to apathy. Incentivizing teachers to not improve their student’s capacity for learning is absolute madness. Detroit’s school system is horrible.

Just to give you an idea of its priorities, according to this an independent report in 2012 suggested Detroit fire 80% of the Water and Sewage Department which includes a horseshoer on staff even though Detroit doesn’t even have any horses to shoe.

Detroit’s tax base has been plunging while increasing government spending so of course Democrats just raise taxes to make up for it instead of cutting spending. Detroit has one of the country’s highest property taxes on homes, the top commercial property tax and the second-highest industrial property tax.

This is not a winning formula. Trying to get blood from a stone is like making scratch offs your retirement plan.

Clearly, jobs and wealth fled the city of Detroit, because of unions, big government programs, pensions, and incredibly generous, unfunded union health care programs. Some final notes on how destructive democratic policies are:

47% of the population is illiterate
40% of the streetlights don’t work
1/3 of the ambulances are running
2/3 of public parks have been closed since 2008

You ask me, my great uncle was a total badass who helped decimate the Japanese, I’m no fan of violence, I believe the pen to be mightier than the sword and destroying Socialists is how I will live to honor my great uncle’s commitment to America.

For those of you who haven’t yet realized this, Harry Truman was president when we dropped the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, so it would more accurate to say: “it is better to be Atom bombed by the Democrats than it is to be run by the Democrats.”
